Backgrounds
Wood is a natural product. The wood that we use comes from so-called production forests, i.e. replanting is guaranteed. Generally, much of the wood that we use is top-quality North-Scandinavian pine.
In particular, products that have a natural look can be best packaged in wood. This further strengthens their natural look. This is particularly true for consumer products.
However, the image of industrial products is becoming an increasingly important factor, so wood packaging can contribute to improving its image as well. Incidentally, more wood is being planted in Scandinavia than is being cut down. And that is a comforting thought, as this makes wood an unending raw material. Over the years, a useful application for it will be found for numerous other purposes.
Nearly all the waste we produce is recycled: i.e. all waste wood (wood, wood dust and sawdust) finds its way into the recycling chain. Other waste is sensibly offered to re-processors.
An important part of the energy we use is "sustainable energy". In addition, the environment is also considered in the application of colour to the various products. Water-based paints are used.
